Artist Bio: I began my pottery experience over 10 years ago in a “paint your own pottery” studio, where I didn't make one thing from scratch the entire first few years of working. This gave me the ability to study and experiment with many techniques of surface decoration and how glazes work in the kiln. I soon realized that I could be making my own pieces and that's when I taught myself how to hand build, and later took a few classes on wheel throwing. I now enjoy making pieces that have simple forms that are finished very nicely, and adding fun, vibrant decorations; my pieces tend to have natural elements with a fun modern flair.
