In this 6-week series participants will learn how to use wet mediums to draw. These will include: Inks, markers, water colors, water color crayons, oil pastel, and more. We will work with still life’s, figure and meditation as subjects. Bring a newsprint pad and a Strathmore #3 drawing pad. No smaller than 18” ×24”. We will start with black water-based ink and every week we will add a new wet medium. *Studio will also have supplies on hand.
Artist Bio:
Adhi Two Owls is an artist, photographer, craftsperson, educator and alternative healing therapist living in Littleton New Hampshire. Adhi studied painting and sculpture at the Kansas City Art Institute. Received her Ph.D. in 2013 in Philosophy and Therapeutic Counseling from the Open International University for Complimentary Medicines in Montreal, Canada. Adhi has also studied Shamanism and other Indigenous heating methods, African drumming, meditation in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, sacred instrument and sound making. She practices urban foraging and enjoys exploring the magic that is this planet. Adhi has taught nationally and internationally at a variety of venues and retreats over the last 30 years. She is currently an adjunct professor at SUNY Canton teaching Drawing and Art History. Adhi is juried member of the League of NH Craftsman for her journal and book making. Her work can be found in private collections and exhibited at galleries throughout the country.
